This five acre ocean front home has extensive tropical gardens, fruit trees and a banana plantation. The gardens and surrounding rain forest provide a verdant luxury to the dwellings while at the same time welcoming the abundant bird and animal life.

Although located only 1 km from the village of Dominical, no other homes or buildings are visible from this ocean front property. There is an omnipresent tranquility - one sees only the ocean and the jungle; on hears only the crashing of the waves on Playa Dominical and the ever present hum of the jungle.

All eight bedrooms and the sleeping loft have air conditioning and open to private terraces with ocean views. Seven bedrooms and the loft have queen size beds while the master bedroom has a king size bed. There are seven banco-type sleep sofas scattered throughout the different buildings.

All rooms have tile floors, ceiling fans and high ceilings. Five bedrooms have 15 ft. ceilings while the three bedrooms on the 1st floor of the bedroom building have 10 ft. ceilings. The can covered ceilings of the main building soar to 25ft., providing excellent airflow and insulation from the tropical sun.

There are televisions with DirectTV and a computer with ISDN internet access. There is a stereo system in the main living room.

The kitchen is fully equipment with refrigerator, oven, cooktop, microwave oven, dishwasher ice-maker and disposal. The kitchen and pantry have sufficient supplies to comfortably serve dinner to 25 people. There is also a large outdoor gas grill / rotiserie on the ranch terrace.

The large - 1500 sq. ft. - infinity swimming pool appears perched on top of the Pacific Ocean. With ocean views south to the Osa Peninsula and with toucans and parrots flying overhead, you know very quickly that you are in another world. For complete peace and tranquility, a thatched pool rancho adjoins one end of the pool and provides rest and relief from the tropical sun.

This five acre property has two flat acres of dwellings and tropical gardens. The balance of the property falls off precipitously to the ocean front of Playa Dominical. The walk to the beach takes 3-5 minutes.

During the day, a strong sea breeze cools the house. After sunset, the airflow reserves and mountain breezes maintain a perfect temperature.

The home was designed to serve the needs of a large family and their many guests in a relaxed and comfortable manner while at the same time providing all the quality amenities which are expected in a large home in Europe or North America. The owners are in residence three months of the year and offer their surf compound as a vacation rental during the nine months that they are elsewhere.
